The Hawaii Teacher Standards Board distributes its newsletter, "Excellence in Action" to all teachers via their schools. The newsletter is sent as needed to inform teachers of licensing news and events.

Back issues are available online for teachers on leave, not currently in the Department of Education, or not receiving it from their school SASA.

The Hawaii Teacher Standards Board was created to improve the quality of the teaching profession by ensuring that teachers hired in the State of Hawaii are fully licensed and qualified to teach in the subject area(s) in which they were hired.
