Philosophy on teacher licensing:
Professional teaching standards that foster student achievement are fundamental to our goal of improving education. Teachers must have a deep understanding and commitment to those standards and incorporating them into daily practice. Licensure is an on-going commitment by the professionals who hold those credentials to a cycle of continuous reflection and improvement. These are the principles by which I believe teaching can continue to grow and elevate the profession to the level of respect that it deserves.
Goals as an HTSB Board member:
Through the mission and vision of the HTSB, my goal is to focus on improving teaching as it relates to improving student learning.
