A Ni'ihau Limited Duty Special Permit may be granted annually to an instructor employed as of June 1, 2000, on the island of Ni`ihau who submits verification of:

1. Hawaii Department of Education (HDOE) employment as an instructor on the island of Ni'ihau.
2. Progress toward meeting the HTSB's requirements for this Limited Duty Special Permit on a yearly basis by:

a) Providing evidence to HDOE of strong progress towards becoming properly licensed;
b) Completing a baccalaureate degree and passing the Praxis Pre-Professional Skills tests by August 31, 2015;
c) Satisfactorily completing required coursework, tests and other measures identified by the HTSB.

This permit expires on the last day of the school year in which it is issued. You must reapply each year for this permit.
