HTSB cannot complete the processing of your added field application until you meet all of the following minimum requirements in one of three possible methods:
1. Complete a State Approved Teacher Education Program (SATEP) in the new license field.

2. Complete eighteen (18) hours of coursework from a SATEP in the new field;
| AND |
Complete two (2) years of satisfactory contracted K-12 teaching experience in the new field within the last five (5) years of added field application date. The total experience taught must be equivalent to at least one year of full-time teaching in the new field.

3. Submit passing Praxis subject area examinations in the new field;
NOTE: Praxis requirements have recently changed. Check the Praxis Chart to ensure you take the correct tests.

Complete two (2) years of satisfactory contracted K-12 teaching experience in the new field within the last five (5) years of added field application date. The total experience taught must be equivalent to at least one year of full-time teaching in the new field.
