The Hawaii Teacher Standards Board is sponsoring National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) support sessions for Hawaii teachers. The primary goal of these sessions is to assist teachers working toward NBPTS certification. These monthly sessions will provide mentoring support for NBPTS candidates.
Teachers may select between the Saturday and Thursday afternoon sessions listed below. Support session activities include structured (“A”) and follow-up discussion (“B”) sessions to assist candidates with entry development and assessment center preparation.
All sessions are computer-based and utilize the online platform “Blackboard Collaborate.” A one-page tip sheet about the Blackboard viewing screen and controls can be downloaded to provide guidance for these Blackboard sessions.
