License extension for licenses expiring in 2006 (Updated 4/23/07) As pointed out before, the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board has ensured that teachers are not penalized during this period of developing our electronic system and their license status has been preserved. Teachers who were able to register their non-Lotus Notes email addresses in our system will be notified at their registered email address about when and how to proceed. Those who were unable to register or who now want to register will have another opportunity to do so. This includes teachers with licenses expiring in 2007. All should send an email to licensing@htsb.org containing the non-Lotus Notes email address to which they want their notification sent. Once we are ready to launch the on-line licensing system, written communications will be sent to teachers at their schools about what they need to do and when they should do so. As usual, instructions will also be available on this Web site. |
The Hawaii Teacher Standards Board was created to improve the quality of the teaching profession by ensuring that teachers hired in the State of Hawaii are fully licensed and qualified to teach in the subject area(s) in which they were hired.
